| AliBaba
and
the Forty thieves is about two brothers
named Kasim and AliBaba. Kasim was rich
and Alibaba was poor but hard working.
One day AliBaba went into the forest
and found a thieve's hideout. He came
back with lots of gold and showed his
wife. His wife wanted to weigh it, so
she borrowed a scale from Kasim's wife.
Kasim's wife put a sticky thing on the
scale, wondering what Alibaba's fortune
was. When she got it back, there was
a gold coin stuck to the bottom. She
showed this to Kasim, who squeezed out
the story from AliBaba. Immediately
Kasim went to the hideout. The thieves
found him and killed him. AliBaba found
the body and took it away. The
forty thieves found out that AliBaba
had discovered their hideout, so they
went out to kill him. AliBaba's servant
found out what the thieves were up
to, and cunningly, she killed all
of them. AliBaba was the only person
left who knew the secret of the treasure.
He made wise use of it for many years,
but he never told anyone the magic
words that would open the cave of
the Forty Thieves. As a reward, Ali Baba
allowed the servant to marry his son.
They lived happily ever after. |
